H.S. Boline

In 1992, Henry Stephen Bolline, completed his The Civil War and It's Causes. He had spent quite a few years traveling, compiling, and writing before he finished his treatise, which he calls an "article", I think it is much more than that.

The title of Henry's work may be a little misleading on the surface, because as he explains in his preface: "This treatise is written with the express purpose of following the career of DANIEL HARRISON BULLOCH, PVT. "F" Company. 41st Georgia Infantry Regiment, "Volunteers" Confederate States Army". His dedication to his task is admirable.

Henry S. Bolline passed away in May of 2002.

If after reading this Essay, you find yourself wanting to know more about the men that fought with the 41st Georgia Regiment, and the other regiments in the Georgia Brigade, I recommend the books written by Gary Ray Goodson, Sr. Georgia Confederate 7,000, (1995), Georgia Confederate 7,000, Army of Tennessee, Part II: Letters and Diaries, and Georgia Confederate 7,000, Army of Tennessee, Part III: The Narrative.
